We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our growing organization. This role supports the HR Manager by providing a lead role in recruiting activities, maintaining precise records, performing essential administrative tasks and actively assisting in various employee life-cycle activities.

Key responsibilities will include:
As the HR Coordinator, you will leverage your expertise in recruitment from posting jobs to conducting interviews and ensuring smooth onboarding for new hires, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee development, and workplace health and safety, while helping attract and retain top talent. In this role, you will coordinate various Human Resources functions, including safety and reception processes, while championing a strong company culture, a safe workplace, and high employee morale.
The ideal candidate will have:
- College Certificate or a University Degree in Business Management/Human Resources, or equivalent education or training.
- Minimum of three years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity.
- CPHR designation considered an asset.
- Understanding of HR best practices, policies, procedures, and current employment/labour laws.
- Knowledge of WCB, OH&S and safety legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to direct and coordinate human resources activities, such as recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and employee services.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and teamwork.
- Completes and leads others to complete, high quality work in accordance with company procedures.
- Critical thinker accountable for all assignments, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a confidential capacity with a high level of professionalism.
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Applications.
- Knowledge of a fabrication and/or manufacturing and/or construction environment.
