We are currently looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Sales Executive, possessing a solid business acumen and strong ability to identify new prospects, nurture existing customers, produce and follow up sales leads, receive bidding opportunities, develop bid to win strategies, submit and close quote proposals and management of customer satisfaction for repeat business and reference – to consistently meet annual sales target, profitably.

Position Location: Summerside Area, Edmonton, Alberta; Milton, Ontario; Vancouver, British Columbia; remote options considered.

Key responsibilities will include:

The sales executive is accountable for customer acquisition, lead generation, prospect management, quote presentation and order closing. The sales executive will be responsible to identify and meet with potential clients, foster existing clients and network at events to present the company’s services offered. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to foster relationships, identify and develop leads, convert leads into RFQ’s, lead successful bid to win strategies and close deals.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the steel fabrication and construction industries.
  2. Highly knowledgeable in business development and sales processes, targets, KPI’s, budgeting, pipeline management as well as commercial terms and conditions and contract law.
  3. Understanding of estimating processes – i.e.: material take-offs, material costs, labour calculations and productivity rates, budget build-ups, scheduling, risk and execution planning.
  4. Strong presentation, negotiating and closing skills.
  5. Strong understanding of structural and platework steel fabrication, design/connections, modularization, and erection practices
  6. Ability to increase customer base with C-suite relationships.
  7. Ability to identify, develop and convert Leads into RFQ’s.
  8. Able to consistently meet annual sales target, profitably.
  9. Ability to ‘Own the room respectfully’ through using an extensive range of communication styles to share, present and exchange information with customers and with potential customers at all levels within an organization.
  10. Critical thinker, capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, thriving in a complex environment and accountable for all assignments, with attention to detail.
  11. Ability to lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and teamwork.
  12. Great organizational and time management skills.
  13. Completes high quality work in accordance with company procedures.
  14. Computer literate with experience with CRMs, Adobe, and Microsoft Applications – (specifically – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  15. Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, business development, sales or business administration will be considered an asset.
