Melissa Johnson is Saskarc’s Human Resources Manager with a BA, Double Honours Degree from the University of Saskatchewan majoring in English & Russian. Offering a diverse background in Human Resources, Finance, and Administration, Melissa brings a wealth of expertise in managing all facets of the employee lifecycle. Her comprehensive experience spans full cycle recruitment, training and development, employee engagement, and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives within the workplace.

Melissa Johnson serves as Saskarc’s Human Resources Manager, bringing a unique blend of expertise in HR, Finance, and Administration. A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a BA in Double Honours English and Russian, Melissa combines her academic foundation with extensive experience in managing the full employee lifecycle. Her specialties include recruitment, training and development, fostering employee engagement, and championing diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her recent achievement of a Leadership Development Program Certificate from Edwards Executive Education at the University of Saskatchewan.
Bernhard Maier is our Director of Operations based out of our Oxbow office. He is responsible for the long-term planning of the company by creating efficient workflows to maximize the company’s productivity and performance.
Before joining Saskarc in 2023, Bernhard worked for over 20 years in several well-established manufacturing companies in Canada. Most recently he was holding the General Manager / President Position at Northern Steel Ltd. in Prince George and CESSCO Fabrication and Engineering in Edmonton. Bernhard began his career in 1990 as a millwright apprentice in Germany. Later he worked as a journeyman to gain knowledge in the trades in Switzerland before he made the move to go into management in the early 2000s.
Bernhard has obtained multiple certificates, diplomas and degrees that help him every day to be successful in his role. These include a Journeyman Ticket as a Millwright, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Canadian Welding Supervisor Certificate , a Master Degree in Business Administration and a Project Management Professional Certification.
